In 2006, South Dakota voters rejected the most restrictive abortion ban in the country. This fall, South Dakotans will vote on another sweeping abortion ban that's just as dangerous as the 2006 law. Vote no on Initiated Measure 11 – and let families decide.

    The grassroots is what it is all about at the South Dakota Campaign for Healthy Families.  Since July, we have been wearing the soles of our shoes thin, and the keypads on our phones out, asking voters to read the fine print of Measure 11.  But it’s worth it.

    Campaign for Healthy Families Extends to Hub City

    I am so proud and inspired to be working for the Campaign for Healthy Families.  I walk into our main room of the headquarters and am amazed at the work being done by our great organizers and volunteers.  I love to listen to them talk to voters - each in their own way - and educate them on the dangers of Initiated Measure 11.  It’s so motivating to hear the conversations that arise on those phone calls; the agreement that this is not the Government’s job to intrude in these highly complex and personal decisions.  Everyday, it reminds me of why I do what I do… of why we all do what we’re doing.

    Exhaustive Study Finds NO Increased Mental Health Risk from Abortion

    It’s a favorite slogan for our opponents.  They’ve been using it for years on bumper stickers and in the ads they put in front of every South Dakotan, both young and old.  Well, you may have wondered “Where’s the evidence?”
